POKOTABI / Storia
Storia
Located on the 1th floor of Theater Green in Minami-Ikebukuro, Storia serves rich Toraja coffee blends, panini filled with prosciutto or salmon, and homemade tarts in an unhurried setting.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Crisply toasted bread encasing layers of savory flavor forms the centerpiece of the light menu at Storia, tucked away on the 1th floor of Theater Green in Minami-Ikebukuro, with 3 varieties of panini on offer. A classic option combines prosciutto with peppery rocket, fresh tomato, and brie, accompanied by dried figs that gently complement the cured saltiness with an elegant, mellow richness. Each filling receives its own considered pairing, from cream cheese and salmon brightened with lemon olive oil to cheese and roasted pork scented with rosemary.
To accompany a meal, the house coffee blend is built around Toarco Toraja beans. It delivers gentle bitterness reminiscent of dark chocolate and a sweet finish akin to maple syrup, balancing the profile with restrained acidity. Guests can choose whatever suits the moment, whether a cold-brewed iced coffee patiently extracted over long hours or a cappuccino crowned with fine, silky steamed milk.
For an afternoon pause, table seating provides a comfortable spot to linger over desserts such as fig tart or baked banana tart. The cafe also pours wine by the glass and serves simple nibbles, including olives and salami bites, making it just as welcoming for a casual aperitif as for an afternoon coffee.
